(June 19, 2018) - The next edition of NACWA's Hot Topics in Clean Water Law Webinar series – scheduled tomorrow, June 20, from 2:00 - 3:30 pm ET – places the very latest legal ramifications of climate change front-and-center.
In January, the Conservation Law Foundation (CLF) released a new report, Climate Adaptation and Liability: A Legal Primer and Workshop Summary Report, outlining potential areas of liability arising from climate change impacts for several professions and industries, including the clean water sector. Meanwhile, litigation is pending in several courts around the country focused on the same issues. This series of free webinars are designed to provide clean water utilities with the latest insights and analysis on key clean water legal issues, as well as offer a great opportunity to keep up with the most important developments in clean water law.
On Monday, July 23, from 2:30 – 4:00 pm ET, NACWA’s Legal Affairs Committee and Climate & Resiliency Committee will meet jointly with the during the NACWA Utility Leadership Conference & 48th Annual Meeting, in Boston, MA. The meeting will focus on a discussion of the CLF report, the pending litigation, and how the clean water sector can respond.
