NACWA Energy Workgroup Discusses Benefits of DOE Programs for Clean Water Utilities

sixThe NACWA Energy Workgroup held a web meeting on March 28 to hear presentations about U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) programs that benefit clean water utilities, and case studies from NACWA members that have participated in these programs.  Andre de Fontaine, Senior Advisor at DOE’s Office of Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy provided an overview of the DOE programs and their results to date.  Mary Tiger, Sustainability Manager at Orange Water & Sewer Authority, NC, and Logan Olds, General Manager of Victor Valley Wastewater Reclamation Authority, CA, discussed why they participated in the programs and the benefits expected and already achieved at their utilities.
