Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District creates ‘a whole lot of emotions’ with inspiring holiday voicemail

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District has an uplifting message for not only its Northeast Ohio customers, but its global social media following.
The sewer district has amassed over 60,000 followers on X, with engaging content that has resonated with people all over the world. But with the holiday season being tough for countless people around the world, the sewer district posted a tweet with a phone number and a message that read: “Just a phone number, a voicemail, and a whole lot of emotions.”
The number sends the callers to an outgoing voicemail message from John Gonzalez, the sewer district’s communications manager. In it, he says “it’s been an honor to serve you in whatever capacity we have in 2023, whether that’s with reliable service for our customers, clean water for our region, or just simply relatable content for our followers from surprisingly all over the world. Please believe me when I tell you that we do not take these connections for granted.”
