NACWA Members Invited to November 4 Security & Risk Management Symposium

Oct 20, 2021

NACWA members are invited to participate in the 5th Annual Security and Risk Management Symposium, which will be a virtual event this year on November 4.  The Symposium is offered free of charge, but advance registration is required by November 2.

The Symposium will feature a cyber and physical threat landscape brief by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and multiple presentations by the Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) on mitigating both cyber and physical risks.  Additional presentations will focus on best practices, available tools and resources, and building organizational resilience.

The Symposium is sponsored by the Pennsylvania Governor's Office of Homeland Security, and the Pennsylvania Region 13 Counterterrorism Task Force, in partnership with CISA and the Western Pennsylvania All Hazards Fusion Center (WPAHFC).  While the Symposium was originally designed for Pennsylvania critical infrastructure, the presentations are applicable to all utilities, and the virtual format has allowed registration to be open to utilities nationwide.

Please contact Carol Adams, Vice Chair of the NACWA Security & Emergency Preparedness Committee and Senior Systems Analyst at NACWA member utility ALCOSAN, for more information.
