Clean Water Current

(January 13, 2021) – NACWA is getting significant utility interest in the new funding provided in the Consolidated Appropriations Act signed into law December 27^th, 2020 – including a historic first time appropriation of federal funding to aid water ratepayers.

To aid members in understanding how this process will work, NACWA has prepared a summary of the new programs, available to members here. The summary includes brief updates on the new funding and initial steps utilities may take in order to maximize the success of these programs and ensure the utility and their ratepayers are best situated to benefit from them.

NACWA is actively tracking these programs and will be providing regular updates to the membership as more details are known. NACWA understands utilities are eager to access these funds, and we urge patience as we work aggressively to learn more about how the program will be structured and how the funds will be dispersed.
