NACWA Praises Water Professionals as Heroes, First Responders through Social Media Campaigns
(April 10, 2020) – The COVID-19 pandemic has offered NACWA and its members the chance to highlight the importance of the water sector and its workforce. Beginning at the onset of the pandemic, NACWA launched the hashtag #H20Heroes on Twitter to acknowledge its water professionals standing on the frontline of this crises.
NACWA has also begun sharing the efforts of its members who have gotten creative with their preventative messaging under the hashtag #ToiletsAreNotTrashcans. Members of all sizes across the country have developed clever and timely slogans, graphics and more to drive this point home, as many households, businesses and policymakers realize the importance of this message for the first time.
We would like to encourage all NACWA members to share the invaluable work that your frontline workers are doing and the creative ways you are sharing information with ratepayers.
