Fall Board Meetings

Board Members are asked to note the following Board of Directors-related meetings taking place during the Fall Strategic Leadership Meeting in October. With the exception of the Fall Board of Directors Meeting, which includes all Board Members, Committee/Workgroup/Task Force membership is indicated for each meeting. The meetings are listed in chronological order.



AWARDS COMMITTEE MEETING

NACWA’s Awards Committee will meet on Tuesday, October 24 from 8:00 – 10:30 am to consider nominations for the Association’s 2018 National Environmental Achievement Awards (NEAA) and review revisions to the Excellence in Management recognition program application. We anticipate NEAA nominations to be ready for review by Committee members in early October. The Awards Committee is comprised of one Board Member from each Region – as well as one At-Large Board Member.  (Breakfast Served)

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING

NACWA’s Executive Committee will meet on Tuesday, October 24 from 9:00 – 11:30 am. In addition to their regular monthly meeting, the Committee will also conduct the annual performance appraisal of the Chief Executive Officer. Board Member comment will be sought in advance regarding the CEO appraisal.

FINANCIAL PLAN WORKGROUP/TARGETED ACTION FUND TASK FORCE JOINT MEETING

Consistent with action taken at the July Board of Directors Meeting, the newly formed Financial Plan Workgroup and Targeted Action Fund (TAF) Task Force will meet jointly on Tuesday, October 24, from 5:00 – 6:30 pm. Conference calls of both the Workgroup and the Task Force are anticipated in September – in advance of this joint in person meeting.

REAL ESTATE TASK FORCE

NACWA’s Real Estate Task Force will meet on Wednesday, October 25, from 8:30 – 9:00 am to consider developments specific to the sale of the National Office building.

NACWA’s Board of Directors will convene its fall meeting on Wednesday, October 25 from 12:00 – 2:30 pm. The Board Meeting will cap two half-days of strategic discussions at the Association’s Fall Strategic Leadership Meeting.  (Lunch Served)
