Liz Fazio Hale has served as the Chief Executive Officer/General Manager (GM) of the Gulf Coast Authority (GCA) for two years and was the Assistant GM for one and a half years before that. Prior to joining GCA, she served as the Executive Director for Riverbend Water Resources District in Northeast Texas for a little over three years.

Many of you may know Ms. Fazio Hale from her time at the TX Legislature where she served as the Director of Natural Resources in the TX House of Representatives under Chairman Allan Ritter. There, she played an instrumental leadership role in the development of the state water infrastructure fund and revenue fund for Texas (SWIFT/SWIRFT). Ms. Fazio Hale also worked on the prioritization and enactment of numerous financial, legal, environmental, conservation, and special district measures during her tenure with the legislature from 2001 – 2015.

Ms. Fazio Hale serves on the Board of Directors for the Texas Lyceum, National Association of Clean Water Agencies, Texas Water Foundation, Texas Water Conservation Association (TWCA), TWCA Risk Management Fund, and Economic Alliance Houston Port Region; and as Vice President of the Gulf Coast Industrial Development Authority and Treasurer of the Texas Conservation Fund.

Ms. Fazio Hale is a dual-degree graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a BA in Government and a BS in Communications. She holds her JD and LLM in Taxation from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.
