Parma ramps up sewer construction to ‘eliminate flooding in people’s basements’

PARMA, Ohio -- Springtime in Parma can mean different things.
“We’re starting to see signs of spring that include daffodils, tulips -- and orange barrels,” Mayor Tim DeGeeter said. “And we love all three.
“Although our residents may have some delays during (road and sewer construction season), we call that progress, and people should be happy once all these projects are completed.”
Parma Engineer Hasmukh Patel said the city is actually readying three major sewer projects for a summer start and late 2024 completion date.
