Yarmouth and Bourne are the latest Cape towns to receive American Rescue Plan Act funding from Barnstable County. The grants totaling $1,149,875 were announced on Wednesday.
Yarmouth will receive a grant for $1,042,760 to help with the design and engineering phase of a wastewater infrastructure project, according to Town Administrator Robert Whritenour Jr.
Voters approved the appropriation of $4.5 million for the design project at the last Town Meeting. Whritenour said the entire amount of funds will go into the $214 million wastewater infrastructure project.
