Gov. Andy Beshear visits Henderson to hand out $3 million for water improvements
HENDERSON, Ky. — During an appearance in downtown Henderson Tuesday afternoon, Gov. Andy Beshear trumpeted gains the state of Kentucky has made in building infrastructure and attracting new businesses and vowed that Western Kentucky "will not be left behind" in those efforts.
Beshear was at the Henderson County Courthouse, awarding more than $3 million in federal grant money to area municipalities in Henderson, Union, Webster and McLean counties for infrastructure upgrades. The grant money is part of the state's $250 million Cleaner Water Program, funded by the American Rescue Plan.
Beshear called the occasion "a good day."
