This week NACWA hosted its first Hot Topics in Clean Water virtual event of 2021, Security Threats Facing Today’s Clean Water Utilities. 

Experts provided critical information for water utilities on cyber compliance, incident response, and risk management, while NACWA Board members Jay Bernas, of Hampton Roads Sanitation District, and Barbara Biggs, of Roxborough Water & Sanitation District, discussed the lessons they learned from their own recent cyber-attacks.

The panels, which were moderated by NACWA Security and Emergency Preparedness Committee Co-Chair Talyon Sorter, featured presentations from Baker Botts Partners Alexandra Dunn, Matt Baker, and Anne Carpenter and Crowell & Moring Partner Evan Wolff.
