NACWA Submits First 100 Days Recommendations to Biden-Harris EPA Transition Team

Dec 9, 2020

(December 9, 2020) - NACWA submitted a list of items to the incoming Biden-Harris Administration’s EPA transition team last week recommending tangible actions the new administration could take during its first 100 days in office to support the public clean water sector.

The recommendations follow a recent meeting between NACWA and members of the Biden-Harris EPA transition team, called the Agency Review Team (EPA ART). It was evident during that meeting that a key focus of the ART's efforts is to determine what actions EPA can take during the first 100 days of the Biden Administration to advance environmental priorities, especially around climate change, recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, and addressing environmental justice concerns. The team asked for specific recommendations in these areas, and NACWA’s document follows up on that request.

NACWA will also be following up later this month with a more detailed transition document to the EPA ART outlining NACWA’s top priorities for the next administration, both for the first 100 days and beyond. Please contact Nathan Gardner-Andrews, NACWA’s General Counsel & Chief Advocacy Officer, with any questions.
