NACWA Hosts Final Webinar on Partnerships to Reduce the Impacts from COVID-19

(July 30, 2020) – NACWA hosted the third and final session of its three-part webinar series, Partnerships to Reduce the Impacts from COVID-19 on the Water Sector on Tuesday, July 28.

The session was moderated by Yvonne Forrest, Director of Houston Water in Texas. To kick things off, she presented a summary of the steps that Houston Water has taken during its COVID-19 response. Ms. Forrest outlined the policies that Houston had already developed, like its pandemic policy, continuity of operations plan, family and medical leave policies, as well as the procedures that were still in development when the crisis hit, such as a telework policy, workplace procedures, and essential employee communications.

The bulk of the webinar featured NACWA’s private sector partners, each presenting on different strategies, technologies and philosophies that can help guide a utility through this crisis and the early stages of returning to work as the pandemic subsides.
