Carmel Water and Wastewater Utility Messaage Regarding COVID-19

The City of Carmel Water and Wastewater Utility wishes its customers to know that during this challenging time period we are prepared and have the needed systems and personnel in place to continue with the safe delivery of drinking water and sanitary sewer service that meets all Federal guidelines.
The Utility has a combined total of 25 State of Indiana certified operators in place to operate and maintain the City’s Water and Wastewater infrastructure. The operators, along with additional personnel, have been cross trained in numerous operational procedures. The systems we have in place offer redundancy in emergency situations, and we have more than adequate capacity to readily serve the public. Regarding the overall safety of drinking water as it relates to COVID-19, the Environmental Protection Agency has released the following statement;
