Recognition: The Tamalpais High School team won the championship title at this year’s Marin County Mock Trial Competition. They will represent Marin County at the State Mock Trial Competition from March 20 through 22 in Los Angeles.

Award: Marin Municipal Water District general manager Ben Horenstein was awarded the National Association of Clean Water Agencies’ National Environmental Achievement Award for Distinguished Service.

Dean’s list: Claire Joyce, of San Rafael, was named to the dean’s list at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, for the fall 2019 semester.

Award: Ted Smith, a San Rafael resident and founder of Marin nonprofit Kids Cooking for Life, was awarded Multiplying Good’s Jefferson Award.
