KALAMAZOO, MI — The Kalamazoo City Commission approved water and wastewater increases that will impact utility bills of people outside and inside the city hooked up to Kalamazoo’s utility system.

Commissioners approved the increases during its Feb. 17 meeting.

Combined water and wastewater rate increases will cost a typical residential water user in the city of Kalamazoo an additional $4.71 a month, or $56.52 a year, under the proposed increases.
