NACWA Hosts Palestinian Water Delegation from West Bank
(November 13, 2019) – NACWA was pleased to host a delegation, sponsored by the US State Department, of Palestinian water professionals from the West Bank on November 7.
The delegation was made up water utility employees from a number of West Bank municipalities. The meeting allowed the delegation to learn more about clean water issues and management in the United States, and also for NACWA staff to learn more about how these same issues are being addressed in the West Bank. Much of the conversation focused on areas where US and Palestinian municipalities are facing common clean water issues, including opportunities and challenges around water reuse, how to best manage biosolids, and how affordability concerns can impact needed infrastructure repair and rehabilitation.
NACWA appreciates the opportunity to host the delegation and enjoyed the mutual learning opportunity.
