Northside residents ask for help in flooding. Is the sewer district responsible?
People came to a meeting Monday night in Northside caked in mud.
That’s how Mary Jo Minerich described the scene at the Northside Community Council.
Her neighbors are still digging out from the muck left by this past weekend’s record rainfall.
With more rain on the way, Minerich on Tuesday asked the Hamilton County Board of Commissioners for help. The Northside neighborhood had not seen flooding like what happened this weekend, she said.
Basements became lakes. Floodwaters carried a parked car into another. Some still don’t have running water.
“No one knows what was in that mix that flowed into everyone’s houses,” Minerich said.
