Need Help Planning Water Week Capitol Hill Visits? Let us Know!
(March 19, 2019) – With the National Water Policy Fly-In and Water Week 2019 almost here, now is the time to be scheduling visits with your Members of Congress. It is critically important that, while you are in Washington, you visit with your elected leaders and educate them about the most important issues facing your utility and the work you do every day to serve your community.
If you need help scheduling and planning your meetings, not to worry – NACWA is here to help! Please contact Kristina Surfus or Jason Isakovic, NACWA’s Legislative Directors, for assistance. And if you haven’t registered for the Fly-In yet, there is still time. Just click here for more information.
A special webcast on preparing for the National Water Policy Fly-In—originally held March 14—is also available for review and download; access includes a recording, presentation handouts and other materials. The Fly-In, convening April 3 – 4, is the anchor event of Water Week 2019 (March 31 – April 6).
The webcast—presented by the Fly-in’s coordinating organizations: NACWA, the Water Environment Federation (WEF), WateReuse Association and The Water Research Foundation—will help attendees prepare for their visit, including an overview of agenda events and what to expect on Capitol Hill. It also discusses ways to participate remotely if you cannot make it to DC.
If you were unable to join the webcast last week, please review the presentation here. A special thanks to WEF for hosting the free webcast.
