Napa Sanitation District wins award
Napa Sanitation District’s efforts to use recycled water for farmland and landscape irrigation has won it “Utility of the Future Today” honors.
The district has recycled water lines running to such places as the Coombsville and Carneros areas. In 2017, it delivered more than 700 million gallons of recycled water to customers.
The award came from the National Association of Clean Water Agencies, the Water Environment Federation, WateReuse Association and the Water Research Foundation. NapaSan is one of 32 utilities recognized nationwide.
Napa Mayor Jill Techel, who chairs the NapaSan Board of Directors, addressed the award in a press release.
