Recycler turns sewage ash into garden gold

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District treats billions of gallons of sewage every year, producing tens of thousands of tons of solid waste that, until a few weeks ago, was incinerated and dumped into a landfill.

But the sewer district recently struck a deal with the Kurtz Bros. landscaping company to turn that ash waste into garden gold.
