NACWA Participates in Research Meeting on Utility Governance Issues
NACWA was invited to participate in a meeting last week hosted by the Water Research Foundation (WRF) and the American Water Works Association (AWWA) to examine existing research needs around utility governance issues, including utility partnerships, regionalization, and consolidation. The meeting focused on existing research gaps and where additional information could be helpful for utilities as they explore complicated governance issues. NACWA was invited to provide a clean water perspective to the discussion and further inform the Association’s work on in this area.
The current WRF/AWWA project will likely lead to a list of additional research needs around the utility governance topic. NACWA thanks WRF and AWWA for the opportunity to participate and looks forward to continued collaboration with those organizations and the broader water sector on these important issues.
