Congress Looks to Another Short-Term Spending Bill
Jan 16, 2018
Congress is expected to take up another short-term funding bill this week to keep the Federal Government open, with details still being worked out before government funding expires on January 19. Congress had hoped to reach a deal to fund the government through the end of Fiscal Year 2018, but negotiations have been slow and another short-term Continuing Resolution (CR) is now likely. This CR will likely extend federal funding until late February or early March with continued level funding for the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) and other water infrastructure programs. Please contact Kristina Surfus or Jason Isakovic, NACWA’s Legislative staff, to discuss further.
