Association to Enter MOU with The River Network

Aug 1, 2017

fourAs part of its meeting on July 25, NACWA’s Board of Directors approved participation in a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the River Network.  The MOU outlines the interest of both organizations to maintain open communication with each other, engage in collaboration where appropriate, participate in each other’s conferences, and facilitate engagement/collaboration between members at the local level.

The River Network serves as the umbrella national organization for many local and regional river advocacy organizations across the country, and is committed to empowering and uniting people and communities to protect and restore rivers and other waters.  Many NACWA utility members are already working collaborative with River Network members at the local level to improve water quality in affordable ways, and this MOW will provide an opportunity to enhance these joint efforts.  Anyone interest in more information on the MOU can contact Chris Hornback, NACWA’s Chief Technical Officer.
