threeNACWA is pleased to announce the promotion of Kristina Surfus as the Association’s new Director of Legislative Affairs, after having served as NACWA’s Manager of Legislative Affairs since December 2015.

During her time with NACWA, Kristina has worked on a wide variety of legislative issues and played an important role in many of the Association’s legislative successes over the past two years, including preservation of critical clean water funding through the Clean Water State Revolving Loan Fund, advancement of integrated planning concepts, work on nutrients and nonpoint source control, and prevention of unnecessary regulatory requirements related to wet weather issues.  She is also the staff liaison for NACWA’s Climate & Resiliency Committee.
