NACWA Participates in CASA Fly-In, Brings National Clean Water Message

Mar 7, 2017

sevenNACWA’s CEO, Adam Krantz, participated in a panel discussion February 27 as part of the California Association of Sanitation Agency’s (CASA) 2017 DC Policy Forum, discussing water infrastructure needs from a national perspective.  NACWA focused on the importance of ensuring robust funding for infrastructure, and an awareness of the affordability concerns utilities face from coast to coast.  Discussion also centered around opportunities that may be provided for regulatory reform—especially issues like integrated planning—and around compliance assistance rather than strict enforcement.  Jim Procter, who played a lead role on the Trump transition team on water and infrastructure issues, also participated in the panel.

CASA is one of NACWA’s most important regional clean water partners, and NACWA leadership appreciated the opportunity to take part in the Forum.  NACWA is always eager to participate in other state and regional clean water association events – please contact Erica Spitzig for more information.
