Reminder: Register for NACWA Webinar on Inflation Reduction Act Opportunities for Clean Water Agencies
On Tuesday, May 23, NACWA and legal affiliate Baker Botts will hold a free webinar to walk through opportunities for clean water agencies to leverage funding made available through the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). NACWA will be releasing a Guidebook to Clean Water Agency IRA opportunities in conjunction with the webinar.
The IRA, signed into law last August, includes major new funding and policy provisions related to advancing clean energy, climate resilience, and environmental justice. The legislation did not focus on water specifically but rather looks across sectors to advance these goals. Many of the provisions could be leveraged by clean water agencies given their nexus with clean water management. But doing so is complicated, requiring utilities to evaluate unfamiliar programs and agencies and track guidance which has been gradually rolling out.
NACWA’s new guidebook and webinar aim to help clean water agencies make sense of it all and understand what may be in the IRA for their communities.
