Low Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP) Announces Webinar Slated for May 19; Exclusive Office Hours Sessions to Follow

May 11, 2022

The Office of Community Services (OCS) within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is hosting a special session for water utilities on Thursday, May 19th from 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm EDT regarding the federal Low-Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP).

This webinar will provide information on implementation, review possible challenges, and highlight success stories, while giving water service providers an opportunity to share feedback on LIHWAP participation.  OCS will also provide information on the LIHWAP Data Dashboard, an interactive data platform highlighting program implementation.

Registration is now open for this event.

The following week, OCS will be holding two office hour sessions where water service providers will have the opportunity to meet with OCS staff regarding questions or barriers to LIHWAP participation.  OCS encourages water service providers to coordinate with the LIHWAP grant recipients in their area to attend office hours together.

Each of the two sessions will be limited to 15 participants, on a first come, first served basis.  The link and additional information for office hour registration will be sent to participants at the conclusion of the May 19 webinar.

The dates for these sessions are Tuesday, May 24th at 3:00 pm EDT, and Thursday, May 26th at 12:00 pm EDT.

NACWA encourages Members to attend this valuable webinar and follow-up sessions.
