Clean Water Current

EPA and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ (USACE) next definition of “waters of the United States” (WOTUS) has officially arrived via proposed rulemaking. The new proposal was published in the Federal Register on December 7 and provides a 60-day public comment period. The comment period is open until February 7, 2022. 

NACWA previously summarized the new proposal and is seeking feedback from members.  The Association plans to comment on the proposal and is interested in any input members may have.  Please contact Emily Remmel, NACWA’s Director of Regulatory Affairs, with questions or to provide comments.
