Water Sector Continues Push to Address WIFIA Funding Concerns
(July 22, 2020) – The water sector continued joint efforts this week to address concerns over funding provisions for the Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (WIFIA) program in the House’s proposed FY 2021 appropriations package for EPA.
A July 22 letter from NACWA and a number of other sector groups asked for support of an amendment to the bill that would clarify projects that have already received approval for WIFIA funding would not have to start the loan application process over if Congress changes project eligibility criteria.
