Conversations on investment in the water sector continue to explore the right level of private engagement; the role for peer-to-peer partnerships; and how fragmentation in the public water and wastewater sector – with thousands of small water and wastewater systems across the country – may limit how much progress can be made. NACWA’s 2018 Utility Leadership Conference will explore how utilities can strike the right balance among public, private and peer-to-peer solutions to meet their needs and the needs of the sector as a whole.

  • NACWA’s Utility Leadership Conference also serves as the Association’s 48th Annual Meeting.  An Annual Association Business Meeting on Wednesday, July 25 will include reports from NACWA’s President, Treasurer, and Chief Executive Officer – as well as Board of Directors’ elections.  Six open seats on the Association’s Board – representing Regions 2; 4; 7; 8 (two seats); and 10 – will be filled through a nomination process that will begin in late May and conclude at the 48th Annual Association Business Meeting.

  • NACWA looks forward to honoring its Member Agencies and the stellar facilities that serve their communities with Excellence in Management, Peak Performance, and Advocacy recognition at the 2018 Utility Leadership Conference.  Join us on Tuesday, July 24th for a special Awards Ceremony & Reception.  NACWA’s awards and recognition programs honor individuals, agencies and facilities that have made significant contributions that positively impact the environment, their utility, and their community.
  • Region 1 utility executives should plan to join NACWA on Monday, July 23rd for a one-day, complimentary, invitation-only Regional Utility Forum. This Forum is designed to offer an opportunity to learn about legislative developments and regulatory trends affecting the region while also encouraging frank dialogue with other utility leaders from across the Region.  It will provide perspectives from regulators at the state and regional level, along with a roundtable discussion specifically for utilities, providing you with the opportunity to hear perspectives from both sides.
