$45M in clean water grants to help Michigan communities update infrastructure

LANSING, Mich. - Millions of dollars will help with water infrastructure upgrades for several communities through out the state of Michigan.

The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy recently awarded MI Clean Water grants totaling $45 million.

Here is what the money will be spent on:

City of Melvindale for $4,377,800.

The project includes replacement of approximately 9,400 linear feet of water main and 56 lead service lines and the installation of 2,500 linear feet of water main for looping along Dix Road, Dora Street, Greenfield Road, and Wall Street.
