The Anderson-Abruzzo International Balloon Museum

Ballooning is a big deal in Albuquerque. So much so that they have a museum dedicated to the art, history, and sport of this activity. Be in awe of the cool exhibits and get a hands-on experience at their Balloon School.  

Albuquerque Biological Park

This is not your average park. There’s something for everyone who loves to explore nature. It consists of the Albuquerque Aquarium, Botanic Garden, Zoo, and Tingley Beach.

The Albuquerque Museum

Discover the beauty and history of Duke City through the many educational exhibits at this museum. Some of the current and upcoming exhibits are Common Ground: Art in New Mexico, Only in Albuquerque: History Gallery, and Visions of the Hispanic World.

Breweries

According to Craft Beer & Brewing Magazine, Albuquerque has become a hotspot for beer-lovers. Some of the popular breweries in the area are Marble Brewery, Duel Brewing, Red Door, and Sidetrack.

KiMo Theater

Comedy shows, plays, and other special live events are hosted at this historic landmark. Just in case there isn’t a show during your stay in Albuquerque, free guided tours of the KiMo Theater are given throughout the week. Please check the online calendar for specific dates of the tour.

New Mexico Ski Museum and Hall of Fame

Located at the base of the Sandia Peak Tramway is a museum honoring those who have made major contributions to skiing and snowboarding in New Mexico.

Old Towne Albuquerque

Looking to eat, shop, and explore all in one area? Look no further! Old Town is considered the heart of Albuquerque. There’s a variety of art galleries, clothing stores, restaurants, and gift shops.

Petroglyph National Monument

Visit one of the largest petroglyph sites in North America. See petroglyphs that date back as early as 1300 A.D.

Rainbow Ryders

As mentioned before, ballooning is a pretty big deal in Albuquerque. Once you’ve learned a thing or two from the Balloon School exhibit at the Anderson-Abruzzo International Balloon Museum, stop by Rainbow Ryders and take flight in a hot air balloon over Duke City.

Sandia Peak Tramway

See atop of the Sandia Mountains, 10,378 feet high, and experience phenomenal views of the Rio Grande Valley on the Sandia Peak Tramway.
