National Association of Clean Water Agencies Joins Engineering Workforce Consortium
Clean water utilities across the country are facing increasing pressure to fill engineering and technical roles as they manage aging infrastructure, evolving regulatory requirements, and up-tempo investment tied to federal infrastructure funding. NACWA's network of public wastewater and stormwater agencies gives the Consortium a direct line to the professionals responsible for keeping that infrastructure running and a clearer picture of the workforce gaps that pose challenges.
“NACWA’s advocacy for affordable and sustainable clean water for all includes building a workforce that can deliver on that vision,” said Adam Krantz, NACWA CEO. “Joining this dynamic coalition is an important part of the work to improve communities.”
With NACWA's addition, the Engineering Workforce Consortium now brings together [X] leading professional societies, trade associations, and academic institutions around three core objectives:
For more than 50 years, the National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA) has been the nation's leading advocate for public clean water utilities, championing legislative, regulatory, legal, and communications priorities that protect public health and the environment. Representing public wastewater and stormwater agencies of all sizes, NACWA unites a strong national network to advance policies that support affordable, sustainable and resilient clean water services for communities across the country. Together with its members, NACWA is shaping the future of clean water through advocacy, collaboration and leadership. Learn more at nacwa.org.
