NACWA Brings Key Issues to Forefront at New England Pretreatment Workshop
NACWA staff traveled to Nashua, N.H., this week to present at the New England Pretreatment Coordinators Workshop. More than 150 pretreatment professionals from across New England and other parts of the country attended the workshop for training and presentations on current pretreatment topics of concern.
NACWA’s presentation highlighted recent regulatory, legislative, and legal actions relevant to pretreatment programs, particularly those related to PFAS, and NACWA’s advocacy on these actions.

The workshop also included pretreatment enforcement case studies and discussion around PFAS destruction technologies, brewery wastewater, and data centers. Networking opportunities were also offered to allow pretreatment coordinators to discuss relevant topics and learn from one another.
