NACWA Provides PFAS Update to ACEC Indiana

Oct 2, 2019

(October 2, 2019) - The American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Indiana Chapter invited NACWA to provide an update on PFAS issues to their members during their annual Environmental Business and Funding meeting in Indianapolis.

The meeting drew over 100 engineering professionals from across Indiana. Although Indiana has not witnessed the PFAS attention like other midwestern states, namely Michigan and Wisconsin, environmental professionals believe it is only a matter of time before PFAS is at the forefront of environmental concerns.

NACWA’s Director of Regulatory Affairs Emily Remmel provided a PFAS 101 tutorial on the chemical nature of PFAS and the complexities facing the water sector in dealing with PFAS as well as an update on national legislative efforts.
