NACWA and Water Sector Discuss Infrastructure Advocacy

Jan 31, 2018

six(January 31, 2018) - NACWA met with an ad hoc water sector group last week to discuss continued collaborative advocacy with the White House and Congress on infrastructure priorities.  The group provides an opportunity to bring together diverse members of the water sector, including drinking water interests and clean water interests as well as private sector and public sector advocates, to advance common priorities with a unified voice.

Over the past year, this group has continuously engaged with White House officials and Members of Congress and their staff to ensure that any infrastructure package includes water issues as a key priority.  With the White House infrastructure plan expected to be released soon, the ad hoc group will serve as an additional resource to ensure the needs of the clean water sector continue to be heard.  NACWA will keep members up to date as both the White House and Congress role out their infrastructure proposals.
