NACWA Workgroup Discusses SRF Streamlining Ideas with EPA

Sep 26, 2017

four(September 26, 2017) - NACWA’s State Revolving Fund (SRF) Streamlining Workgroup held a call with EPA on September 20 to discuss ideas for simplifying and streamlining the SRF application and reporting process.  EPA is currently undergoing an internal process to review and simplify its SRF regulations, and NACWA’s Workgroup—made up of Association utility representatives—has been developing suggestions to help inform EPA’s work.

It became clear from the call that many of the most concerning — and sometimes frustrating — aspects of the SRF process for NACWA’s members are actually the result of additional state requirements that are imposed without EPA involvement.  NACWA’s Workgroup will continue to study these issues and engage with EPA and the states on efforts to improve the SRF process.

Any members interested in learning more about NACWA’s work on SRF streamlining can contact Nathan Gardner-Andrews.
