NACWA Requests Doubling of 2018 State Revolving Funds

Apr 4, 2017

eightA bi-partisan letter was sent to the House Interior & Environment Appropriations Subcommittee on March 27 requesting a doubling of the State Revolving Funds (SRFs) in FY18, relative to FY16-enacted levels. This request mirrors NACWA’s and other water sector organizations’ joint FY18 request. A doubling would equal $2.8B in federal appropriations for the Clean Water SRF and $1.8B for the Drinking Water SRF, helping States address the infrastructure gaps in local communities and putting the nation on a path toward a tripling of the SRFs, which then-President candidate Trump proposed during his campaign.

Reps. John Katko (R-NY) and Louise Slaughter (D-NY) led as signatories on the letter. NACWA thanks them for their bipartisan leadership on this critical request. The letter was submitted to Subcommittee Chairman Ken Calvert (R-CA) and Ranking Member Betty McCollum (D-MN).
