NACWA staff attended a meeting of the “Don’t Mess with Our Bonds” Coalition hosted by the U.S. Conference of Mayors on February 23. The Coalition consists of a wide range of infrastructure and local and state governmental associations that are concerned about preserving the tax-exempt status of municipal bonds and maintaining access to low-cost financing for state and local investments. With tax reform discussions underway in Congress and the Administration, NACWA is working to communicate the importance of this tool for clean water.
