2011 NACWA Financial Survey: A National Survey of Clean Water Agency Financing and Trends

Since 1981, NACWA has conducted a triennial financial survey of its membership to provide clean water agencies, government officials, and the public, important insight into the financing and management of clean water utilities.  The 2011 Financial Survey includes the full report and appendices, a spreadsheet with all of the Survey data, and a 24-page summary document highlighting the key findings and conclusions from the Survey.

Like previous surveys, the 2011 Survey presents industry statistics and trend data on utility revenues, expenses, debt financing, capital needs, sewer service charges, residential and industrial rates and rate structures, staffing levels, and salaries.  In addition, the 2011 Survey expands on this baseline of data and presents information on the status of asset management programs, financial statement data, staff licensing requirements, and energy use and costs.
